ABL1 kinase domain mutations are screened by sequencing of semi-nested PCR products encompassing the ABL1 kinase domain.   

Diagnostic Use / Indications

Patients (Philadephia chromosome positive) displaying a lack of response to tryosine kinase inhibitor therapy, or a rising BCR/ABL1 transcript level or loss of a major molecular response (0.100 % BCR/ABL1 to BCR control gene).
