Tetanus Antibodies - Pre and Post Vaccination

Used to evaluate immunodeficient patients. Pre and Post vaccination levels are measured giving an indication of the patients ability to mount an appropriate immune response to this protein antigen.

Additional Information

An IgG antibody level of 0.2 UL/mL is considered to confer immunity to tetanus. (1) Test is standardised against WHO human anti-tetanus reference material (coded 26/488).  Pre and post vaccination ranges were determined by this laboratory using sera from 19 healthy adults not vaccinated for at least 10 years.

Results may be delayed if awaiting post vaccination sample.
