Interpretation	GM1 Antibodies GM1 antibodies (IgM type) are found in patients with lower motor neuron diseases, multifocal motor neuropathy, motor or sensorimotor neuropathy and IgM paraproteinemias with neuropathy. Low titres of IgM GM1 antibodies are detected in other neurologic diseases (multiple sclerosis, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) and some normal individuals.
