Uncertainty of Measurement

Parallel results from cell line dilutions determined a limit of detection of 1 abnormal cell in 10,000 cells.  A negative result does not exclude the presence of abnormal cells present at a level less than 1 in 10,000, or rare transcripts.

The assay should only be used for diagnostic screening of BCR/ABL1 transcripts and not MRD.  For MRD refer to nested RT-PCR or quantitative PCR or BCR/ABL1.
