Diagnostic Use / Indications

Ovulation profiling involves the generation of a profile  using the existing oestrone-3-glucuronide and pregnanediol-3-glucuronide assays on a series of urine samples over a menstrual cycle. The normal assay conditions are followed with respect to dilutions and creatinine results so that the the final results can be normalised to a 24 hr basis. This is achieved using creatinine excretion of 10mmol/day.
